In 2004, Mr. Hsu represented a client in a
distributor-manufacturer dispute involving an exclusive distribution agreement
and successfully obtained a settlement in excess of $5 million.
In 2012, Mr. Hsu successfully defended a client in an arbitration in
Minneapolis, Minnesota involving disputes between manufacturer and
distributor on numerous causes of actions including, without limitation,
breach of contract and breach of implied warranties. Prior to and during
this arbitration, the Claimant demanded and sought more than $12 million
dollars as the Claimant's damages. Following a lengthy 4 day arbitration,
the Arbitration Panel awarded the Claimant only approximately $1.55 million
dollars as the total compensatory damage.
In 2015, Mr. Hsu successfully obtained a
jury verdict of $1.05 million dollars plus over $300,000.00 on attorney's fees
and costs in a case filed by a buyer of an ice cream and cookie store in a
shopping mall against the seller of such store, and the dual real estate agent
representing both seller and buyer for breach of contract, fraud, negligent
misrepresentation and negligence.
In 2017, Mr. Hsu successfully obtained an
arbitration award for over $300,000.00 plus $128,000.00 for attorney's fees
after 3 full day arbitration filed by a buyer of a single family house against
the seller for causes of actions including, without limitation,
Breach of Contract, Fraud, and Mutual Mistake.
In 2017, Mr. Hsu represented a female client and her late husband's estate being
sued by her late husband's brother for more than $10.8 million dollars.
During the jury trial, Mr. Hsu successfully moved and obtained a non-suit on behalf of
said late husband's estate. Subsequent to the trial in 2019, the California Appellate
Court entered a judgment in favor of the said female client of Mr. Hsu on all causes of action.
In 2017, Mr. Hsu successfully obtained a court judgment for approximately $150,000.00
after 3 day court trial on a case in which Mr. Hsu's client was pursuing a defendant
based on Equitable Indemnification.
In 2018, Mr. Hsu successfully defended a client after 2 week court trial involving claims
of a host family against an education service provider based on causes of action including,
without limitation, breach of contract and negligence.
